Memorial Day & a found freebie

Taking time today to honor and remember the veterans.

I found this wonderful freebie here at Plum Street Samplers.
I was hoping to have my pillow all finished to share here, but I guess that will have to wait for another day.

Wishing you a safe day of picnics and parades with family and friends, but please take a moment to say a prayer to honor and remember our veterans.

My thoughts are filled with my late Father-in-law who served in the Navy and my nephew currently serving with the Marines...

Blessings, Patti

p.s. For those that have asked, here are the colors that I choose to use for the freebie:
Red DMC 919
White DMC 822
Blue DMC 930
Green DMC 3051
Black./Brown DMC 3371
Thanks for asking!

A Big Thank You & An Etsy Giveaway!

I simply can't thank you all enough for all your well wishes and prayers during my illness! They definitely have helped in my healing!

I returned to work on Tuesday, but have found that just the commute to downtown Chicago wipes me out. Luckily, our firm decided that with the NATO Summit it is best to work from home today and Monday. So I am being productive in my pajamas :) The recuperation is much slower than I anticipated. I am just now adding foods back in to my diet besides plain noodles, potatoes and toast :) They say that in 6 - 8 weeks I should be back to normal.

I wanted to do a special giveaway in celebration of your support and prayers and also because I just reached 300 posts! (Not sure how that happened!) Since I am not quite up to creating something special, I decided to have a giveaway of your choice of any one item from my Etsy shop. If you would like to take a peek, you can click here.

As always, this giveaway is open to everyone. Simply comment on this post or send me an email to pgagliardi9@hotmail.com with "Etsy giveaway" in the subject line and let me know which item you would choose if you win :)

Happy Mothers Day!

"Mother" design by Pineberry Lane

Happy Mothers Day
to all the Moms, Furbaby Moms, and Surrogate/Stand-in Moms!

We couldn't do what we do without your love and support!

"Horray for Spring" design by Maggie Bonanomi

I've finally felt well enough to pick up a needle for a few minutes here and there.
This pillow was almost completed before I became ill, so I was able to finish it.

Hope that you find a few minutes to pick up a needle today :)

Blessings, Patti

A Belated Update

The artists at TDIPT Mercantile updated their offerings on May 1, but my page was a bit delayed.
I had such fun creating these Butterfly Pinkeeps and seeing how each coverlet piece would turn out. I love the timeworn, threadbare look of the coverlets and the antique cream wool blanket. And the glass headed pins make perfect antenae.

You can click here to take a peek at my offerings.

My recuperation is going more slowly than I had hoped.
You know you're not feeling good, when you still don't have a desire to pick up a needle :)
I have ideas swirling through my head, but just don't have the energy to actually create them yet.

For those waiting for purchases, I am hoping to package them up this afternoon after my nap and find a volunteer to take them to the post office tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience.

There's no place like home!

I am home from almost a week long stay at the hospital. I can't thank you enough for all the well wishes and prayers that were sent my way. They certainly were an integral part of my healing. I still have a ways to go, but just being at home helps.

As soon as I am feeling up to it, I'll have to put together another giveaway in thanks for your support.

M.I.A.

Just thought I would let you know why I haven't posted or updated my offerings on TDIPT Mercantile. I unexpectedly went to the ER on Monday morning and have been in the hospital ever since. Turns out I have a really nasty case is salmonella.

My offerings are finished and photographed and as soon as I am released I will be updating my page.

This was a wake up call for me between last week (flu and strep throat) and this week in the hospital. I plan to make my health a priority :)

Blessings, Patti
